Moddet operates as a curated multi-vendor marketplace. This policy sets out the minimum guarantee Moddet provides to all customers. Individual vendor return policies are displayed on each vendor's shopfront page and may offer additional rights beyond the minimum below.
Your Statutory Right to Return
As a UK-based marketplace, all purchases made on Moddet are subject to the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You have the right to cancel any order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.
Once you have notified us of your intention to cancel, you have a further 14 days to return the goods to the relevant vendor.
How Returns Work on Moddet
Return windows vary by vendor and will be clearly stated on each product listing. All vendors on Moddet offer a minimum of 14 days returns in line with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Where a vendor offers a longer return window this will be displayed on the product listing and honoured in full.
Because Moddet is a multi-vendor marketplace, each vendor manages their own returns process. Before purchasing, we encourage you to review the individual vendor's return policy displayed on their storefront.

Moddet's Customer Guarantee
Regardless of individual vendor policies, Moddet commits to the following for every customer:

All vendors on the platform are required to honour the UK statutory minimum of 14 days returns

If a vendor is unresponsive to a return request within 5 business days, Moddet will intervene directly

If a vendor fails to honour their stated return policy, Moddet will investigate and work to resolve the matter on your behalf
Refund Timelines
Once your return has been received and approved by the vendor, refunds are typically processed within 5 to 10 business days. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.
Refund Conditions
Items must be returned unused, unwashed, and in their original packaging with all tags attached. Items that have been worn, washed, or altered will not be accepted for return.
Return postage costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described. We recommend using a tracked service, as Moddet cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit.
Non-Returnable Items
Some vendors on the Moddet platform charge for return postage and/or operate non-refundable policies on specific items. This will be clearly stated on the relevant vendor's shopfront page and on individual product listings before purchase. Please review the vendor's return policy before completing your order.
The following items may not be eligible for return unless faulty or not as described:

Items marked as Final Sale at the time of purchase

Custom-made or personalised items

Hygiene-sensitive items such as swimwear or undergarments (where the hygiene seal has been broken)
Non-returnable items will be clearly indicated on the product listing before you purchase.
Made-to-order and custom items cannot be refunded. Exchanges and store credit may be available depending on the vendor — please check the relevant vendor sections on our shipping policy page and product descriptions for details
Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a full refund or replacement regardless of the vendor's return policy. Please contact us at hello@moddet.co within 14 days of receipt.
International Returns
Please note that some vendors on the Moddet platform ship from outside the UK. Delivery times and customs responsibilities for these vendors are clearly stated on individual product listings and specific vendor sections in our shipping policy.
Moddet does not accept international returns for change of mind or sizing. International returns are only accepted where an item is received damaged, defective, or not as described.

Include your order number and clear photos of the damage or defect

Only pre-approved returns will be accepted — we will provide the return address once approved
Return shipping for approved international returns must be sent via a tracked international courier. Moddet cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit if returned without tracking or without prior approval.
Refunds for approved international returns will be issued within 10 business days of receiving and inspecting the item, to the original payment method.
Tracked Returns — All Customers
All returns regardless of location must be sent via a tracked shipping service. Moddet and the relevant vendor are not responsible for items lost in transit if returned without tracking. Please keep your proof of postage until your refund has been confirmed.

Please note: Mwasi operates on a pre-order model. Orders are made to order and dispatched approximately 4–8 weeks after the pre-order window closes

Sale items and gift cards are not eligible for return

Exchanges: return the original item first, then place a new order for the replacement

EU customers have an additional 14-day cooling-off period as required by law

Items must be unworn, unused, with all tags, ribbons, and original packaging intact. Returns received without the original ribbon attached will not be accepted

A £12 handling fee per item will be deducted from your refund — this covers your prepaid return label, original outbound shipping, and processing fees.

If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Length alterations are not available
